A CLOSER LOOK

A programme to agree together.

Work, personal interests and everyday activities can be part of the conversation with the physiotherapist. The first step is to clarify goals and the context of your programme together, without treating a programme name as a promise of a particular outcome or timescale. Appointments follow the arrangements agreed during assessment.

Any subsequent steps are discussed during appointments and coordinated with the professionals involved when needed. You can ask how review conversations will be organised and what information to bring. The schedule supports this continuity without independently determining when an activity should resume.

Keeping appointments connected

  • Attention to everyday activities
  • Steps discussed during appointments
  • Coordination when needed
WHERE TO BEGIN

The first step in the programme.

  1. An initial meeting or a follow-up session.

  2. Your availability during the week.

  3. Agree goals and programme details with the practitioner.

BEFORE WE MEET

Let’s start with your questions.

Do I need to choose a programme of sessions straight away?

No. The starting point is an assessment appointment, where the professional discusses your enquiry and goals. Any sessions and terms are agreed afterwards.

Who determines the number and frequency of appointments?

They are determined with the physiotherapist within the programme. Calendar preferences help arrange contact and do not automatically assign a number or frequency of sessions.

Which documents should I bring to the assessment?

Reception clarifies required documentation before confirmation. Personal information is shared with the professional through agreed channels, without entering it in the scheduling form.

Can I discuss my everyday activities?

Yes. Work, interests and activities that matter to you can be part of the conversation. The professional considers their role in the assessment and discusses possible goals without predetermined timescales or outcomes.

How is an appointment rearranged?

You can contact reception to check new availability. Changes are confirmed by the practice and coordinated with the programme agreed with the physiotherapist.
